Previewed last week, the STREAMS Guidelines for the conservation of Mediterranean trout and its habitat in protected areas and Natura 2000 Sites published by ISPRA are now available in their final version on the project website.
Aimed at management bodies of protected areas and Natura 2000 Sites, Regions and Hydrographic District Authorities, the Guidelines – in addition to providing practical indications – aim to integrate the planning and management tools provided for by the Habitats Directive and the Water Framework Directive, contributing to the objectives of the European and National Biodiversity Strategies for 2030 and the Regulation on Nature Restoration.
