In December 2022, the activities for the C.1 project action were also carried out in the Parco dei Monti Sibillini by the staff of the University of Perugia and the Hyla Naturalistic Studio, in collaboration with the National Park Authority of the Sibillini Mountains and the Umbria Region.
In the Borgo Cerreto ichthyogenic plant, 263 specimens belonging to the genetic stock of the Nera river were marked using microchips and housed. Furthermore, during field activities, still in the Nera area, it was possible to recover and mark about 30 wild specimens of Mediterranean trout. Starting from these individuals, a nucleus of reproducers will be created to be used for future supportive breeding actions in the PNMS.
