The STREAMS analysis conducted last year ascertained the genetic suitability of some populations present in the streams of the Casentinesi Forest National Park. Therefore, this year the activities are focusing on deepening the genetic quality of these individuals, in order to select the future breeding stock of the fry that will be reintroduced.
In the ichthyogenic plant of Premilcuore (FC) there are currently 20 selected breeding stock. These days in the Bidente di Pietrapazza. 30 specimens have already been captured from which a fin sample was taken for genetic investigations and which, after the application of a subcutaneous chip for their recognition in case of suitability, were released into the wild.
