Even if with small numbers, thanks to the use of the mobile hatcheries of Monte Limbara and Montimannu, the Forestas Regional Agency last March managed to sow native trout with Vibert boxes in Rio Fundu and Rio Cannisoni.
Some quotas have also been sown in the Rio Oridda, where the trout has long since become extinct, with the intention of restoring a vital native population in a suitable stretch of stream.
This is the first attempt to reproduce from the wild with mobile hatcheries in Sardinia.
