Yesterday the Sibillini Mountains National Park carried out a conservation action in synergy with the Marche Region: approximately 4,000 Mediterranean trout eggs produced in the Cantiano ichthyogenic center were reintroduced into the #STREAMS sites of the Rio Sacro using Vibert boxes.
Also yesterday, approximately another 4,000 eggs from the same reproductive stock in the Chienti basin were sown in the Fiastrone stream, as part of the Marche Region’s Mediterranean trout conservation project.
Thanks go to the Cooperativa La Macina Terre Alte, manager of the Cantiano hatchery, and in particular to Roberto Barbaresi and Santino Fiorucci, who were of great help to our technical-scientific team.
