Yesterday the technicians of the Casentinesi Forest National Park, together – as is now customary – with the volunteers of ESC360, FIPSAS Forlì and the Forestry Carabinieri Biodiversity Department of Pratovecchio sampled in two stations inside the Lama Forest, an ancient most beautiful in Europe which is located on the Adriatic side of the Park.
The Lama is a plateau of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines at almost 700 m a.s.l. rich in steep woods and steep gorges, with this beautiful forest in the center in which you can also find exotic plants of exceptional size, as well as a hawthorn of about 300 years.
Given the high altitude and the morphology of the streams, very steep and rich in natural jumps, the trout harvest was less than 60 individuals in total.
