The last two preliminary samplings in the Majella National Park: the first took place in the section of the Vallone di Santo Spirito stream (Roccamorice, PE), while the second once again concerned the Orta river, this time in the section near S. Eufemia in Maiella, PE.
In both streams, many trout were taken: 107 individuals of varying length (from 7.5 to 35 cm) and with a maximum weight of 352 g.
In the Orta, the rare crayfish is unmissable which, like the Mediterranean trout, prefers fresh, clean and oxygenated waters.
